You are confident of your research but presenting it on paper in the best way is another story. For example, if your paper has grammatical error or even spelling mistakes, you are going to lose points. Not only that, you are going to lose trust of your peers and readers on your research as well. However, getting the grammars and spellings right is not enough. What else would you require to present a good academic paper? Clear and concise presentation: The first thing that you need to understand is what and how much of your research to preesent on paper. During your course of work, you might have worked upon a plethora of ideas. Some of these might have worked for you more than others. But you need not present all of them. Choose the ones that have been most relevant in your course of work and condense the material to make it a crisp and clear reading. No Plagiarism: Make this a standing rule for your academic writing. Do not copy text or ideas from other sources. However, if you need to use text from other published work, be sure to give credit to the sources. Say it with conviction: If you are confident about your idea, go for it. It is best to avoid ambiguous sentences that leave room for speculation. Basically, your academic paper is all about your research and not what you might have come across or read somewhere. Add proofs wherever you need to for any statement that you are making. Quotable quotes: There are times when using quotes are imperative to your writing. However, do not use too many of those in your work as you would lose credibility. The best way to go about quotes is to shortlist a few relevant ones and then use the ones that fit in the most appropriate way. Summarize: One of the most difficult of tasks is to condense your work to a few hundred words. However, the summary of your work is like a key that would open the door to the rest of your writing. The summary is just as important as the rest of your work and take ample time and care to write a good one.
